When do you need to convert PNG to PDF?

Screenshots are usually saved as PNG: a payment receipt from your banking app, a registration confirmation from a university portal, or a result page from an online platform. When someone asks for "a PDF" rather than a handful of images, this tool puts your screenshots into one tidy file that's easy to send, print and archive.

How images are placed on the pages

  • Each image gets its own A4 portrait page, in the order shown in the list.
  • Images are scaled down when needed to fit inside a white margin and centered, never cropped or stretched.
  • Small images are not enlarged, so they don't turn blurry; they appear at their own size in the middle of the page.
  • Transparency is kept: transparent areas show the white of the page.
  • Images are stored with lossless compression, so their quality doesn't drop.

How to convert PNG to PDF

  1. 1
Click "Select files" and pick your PNG images in page order, or drag them onto the box. Images added later go to the end.
  2. 2
Check the list: its order is the page order. Click βœ• next to an image to remove it.
  3. 3
    Click "Process Now".
  4. 4
Look over the preview, then click "Download Result" to save images.pdf.

Tips before converting

  • Crop screenshots in your gallery first to remove the status bar and app buttons; the pages will look much cleaner.
  • For camera photos in JPG, use JPG to PDF; this page accepts PNG only.
  • PNG keeps full quality but many images can make a large file. If it exceeds an upload limit, run it through Compress PDF.
  • To add the new pages to an existing PDF, convert the images here, then combine both files with Merge PDF.

Limitations

  • The page size is fixed (A4 portrait), so wide screenshots are scaled down inside a portrait page.
  • There's no drag-to-reorder. To move an image, remove it and add it again; it goes to the end of the list.
  • Two images with the same name and size are treated as one and aren't added twice.
  • A file named .png that is really another image format stops the conversion with an "Image error" message naming it.
  • Text inside screenshots stays part of the image, so it can't be searched or copied.

Where is the processing done?

The PDF is assembled from your images right in the browser with pdf-lib, so screenshots that may show account numbers or personal details never leave your device.

PNG to PDF: frequently asked questions

Why does my screenshot look small in the middle of the page?

The tool doesn't enlarge images. Each pixel maps to one point on the page, so an image narrower than about 515 pixels appears narrower than the page.

Is the transparent background preserved?

Yes, transparency is carried into the file. But a PDF page is white, so transparent areas look white on screen and in print.

How many images can go into one PDF?

There's no fixed number. The practical limit is your device's memory; very large images can slow a phone down.

Can I choose a page size other than A4?

Not at the moment. Every page is A4 portrait.
